音乐剧留学选校必须要弄明白这些事儿!

相较古典歌剧较为小众的受众群体，音乐剧以其现代化，国际化，市场化的特点瞬间燃爆整个国内演出市场，同时不失戏剧性和多元性的特色使音乐剧也具有相应的门槛和标准。中国音乐剧市场规模近三年来每年都几乎成倍扩大，在这样的大环境下，想要学习的音乐剧的同学也就越来越多。

今天我们就来重点说说音乐剧留学要注意哪些问题?

注意问题

1.关于国家

伦敦西区和纽约百老汇是世界上唯二两个可以成为世界音乐剧中心的地方，同时也带动了奥利弗奖和托尼奖这两个戏剧类奖项的发展。这代表着，英美在音乐剧表演、教育、后台制作等方面享有其他国家无法比拟的资源。更多的资源也就意味着更多的机会，毫无疑问都是英美院校能提供更多的可能。

英美院校教学质量过硬，课程安排合理，所以单从学校的教育质量来看，英美院校的认可度更高。

2.关于选校

不要一味的相信学校排名!有些排名高的院校未必专业好，排名不好的院校未必专业差，要是一味的只看排名，会少丢掉很多选择机会。

确定好学校后，一定要确定自己申请的学校是否有这个专业，本科还是研究生!有一些学校是只有本科没有硕士的，比如卡内基梅隆、密歇根安娜堡等。有一些学校甚至没有音乐剧专业，比如茱莉亚音乐学院。不要盲目的相信网上的信息，不一定准确，否则到了申请的时候没有专业可以申请那就悲剧了!

3.关于语言

在音乐剧方面，英语系的剧目还是牢牢占据着统治地位，而且在影响力方面对其他语种呈现碾压之势。如果你的英语不好，那要加油了~音乐剧专业作为“表演类艺术之王”，对于口语和听力的要求非常高，像是皇家苏格兰硕士专业都要求7.5以上的雅思成绩，更有甚者，还有学校要求雅思达到8.0以上。

4.关于作品集

要给自己留足够的时间准备。在准备留学申请和作品集的过程中，总会遇到各种各样的问题，所以越早开始准备越好。

选择合适的作品非常重要!在学校规定的曲目和独白范围内，选择适合自己年龄、性格、音色、音域的作品，能起到事半功倍的效果，也会省去很多不必要的麻烦。

在录制之前，需要多多练习选的作品，留出一些时间，抛开其他的事情，专心准备最后的录制，从录制前两周开始调整自己的心情和状态，让自己保持在最佳的状态。

院校介绍

01 曼哈顿音乐学院(只有本科)

曼哈顿音乐学院享有盛誉的音乐剧课程是纽约市唯一的独立音乐学院课程。我们的项目吸引了专业的艺术家教师和客座艺术家，他们中的许多人在百老汇的一些最伟大的演出中创作和表演过，如 悲惨世界、 歌剧魅影、拉格泰姆、芝加哥等等。学生接受全面的音乐剧培训，最终获得完全认可的学士学位。

MSM 音乐剧学生每年有很多演出机会，包括：四部完全制作的图书音乐剧、一部正在开发的音乐剧、新生你好!和高级展示。所有 MSM 作品均由专业的戏剧艺术家指导、编排和设计。此外，我们还为专业音乐剧作家提供与学生一起讨论材料的机会，并鼓励学生制作独立的表演项目。

作品集要求

Two contrasting one-minute selections from the Musical Theatre repertoire; one up-tempo, one ballad

A one-minute, memorized monologue of your choice.

Perform a dance of your choosing, or from the following suggested genres: contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, or tap. The selection should be no longer than one minute. Do not submit videos from performances. You should be the only person in the video.

02 波士顿音乐学院(只有本科)

One song should be a ballad and one song should be an up-tempo

One song should be written prior to 1970. This song can be either the up-tempo or the ballad (student’s choice).

One song should be written after 1970 and contrast the style of the first (can include jukebox musicals)

Each song file should be 60–90 seconds (this time limit includes the slate at the beginning of the piece and is strictly adhered to; please do not upload media files longer than 90 seconds)

Students must sing to live or recorded accompaniment; no a cappella singing

Songs should be filmed in a 3/4 shot, which means the top of the head to the knees should be visible in the frame

表演

One 60–90 second contemporary monologue (written during the 20th Century–present) from a published play. This time limit includes the slate at the beginning of the piece and is strictly adhered to; please do not upload media files longer than 90 seconds.

The contemporary monologue should be filmed in a “close-up” shot which means the top of the head to the chest should be visible in the frame

Monologues cannot be from musicals, television shows, or movies

Each monologue file should be 60–90 seconds in length (this time limit includes the slate at the beginning of the piece; please do not upload media files longer than 90 seconds)

舞蹈

You are invited to submit an additional video that reveals more information about your unique interests, skills, and personality. Students with dance training or experience (ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, salsa, South Asian, folk, swing, etc.) are especially encouraged to do so. “Wild card” examples may include playing an instrument, performing a self-written song or monologue, rap, acrobatics, stand up comedy, spoken word, magic, drag, impersonations, etc.

Time limit: 1 minute.

03 卡内基梅隆大学(只有本科)

卡内基梅隆大学的本科音乐剧课程是四年制的，所有学表演，或者音乐的学生的核心课程是一样的。

第一年学习基础的知识和技巧;第二年则会学习怎样将所学的技巧在当代戏剧中实践;在第三年，学生会发掘自己的表演风格，这一年学生们将公开表演;到了第四年，学生会有机会出国留学，在舞台剧中担任角色，同时学习商务课程。

Resume including any training and experience in theater, film, music and dance as well as academic achievements, work experience and community service.HeadshotEach piece should be filmed/uploaded as a separate piece of media. No continuous videos. Students are encouraged to use standard technology/recording devices that are available to them (i.e. smartphones, tablets, etc).There should not be a separate "slate" video, rather slates are to appear at the beginning of each piece. The proper slate for a song is to share your name, the title, and the show in which it appears. The proper slate for a monologue is to share your name, the title of the play, and the playwright.

04 密歇根大学安娜堡分校

密歇根大学安娜堡分校的音乐剧专业被誉为世界上最顶尖的同类课程之一。

Acting–upload 2 separate tracksPrepare two short, contrasting monologues from contemporary plays (no earlier than late 1800s). The monologues must be memorized and should be performed in the context of the entire play. The monologues should be no longer than 90 seconds each.Do not choose from historic styles, such as Shakespeare, and verse or poetry.

Avoid dialects.When filming, ensure that the bottom of the frame is no lower than your knees so that we can see your face, and make sure that the color of your clothing contrasts with your background.Voice–upload 2 separate tracksPrepare two musical theatre songs of at least 32-bars each with a 2-4-bar piano introduction. 05 加州大学洛杉矶分校

06 俄克拉荷马城市大学

俄克拉荷马城市大学是一所位于美国西部的院校，虽然在综合排名方面并不优秀，但其在艺术领域有一些名气，尤其是涉及音乐、戏剧方面的表演类艺术。该校的音乐剧专业开设有本科和硕士学位，设置在其音乐学院下面。该学院的音乐剧课程是美国强度最高的课程之一，并将严格的音乐培训与表演、表演技巧、舞蹈训练、舞台工艺等结合在一起。学院致力于培养音乐剧行业的高水平演员，并专注于使他们获得巨大的成功!学员将有机会参加每年六场的年度作品演出。

07 雪兰多大学

学校旗下有一个专业的表演公司，叫做Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre (SSMT)。这个公司每年制作四个大型音乐剧，并且也和曾经获得托尼奖的Signature Theatre(签名剧院)有长期的合作关系。

另外，在大三的学年中，学生将进行职业培训，学习如何成为具有企业家精神的艺术家。这堂课里，学生将学习如何写简历、谈判合同、创建网页、管理个人社交媒体等方面。他们还将在纽约等城市寻找机会。

每年，学校将会有2个大型舞台音乐剧以及1个黑盒子音乐剧。所有学生(大一至大四)都必须要进行面试。另外，音乐剧的学生还需要去面试参加校内的3个黑盒子话剧和1个大型舞台剧。另外，一些学生组建了校外的戏剧公司。雪兰多大学一年内会制作超过400个表演。

08 宾州州立大学

第一学期，学生将分组学习发声技巧和歌唱表演。课程也包括一对一的声乐指导。学生将学习、排练以及表演6首不同风格的歌曲，并且学期末展示给全体教授和学生。

在第二学年后，学生将受邀面试参演学校的大型音乐剧和学部的音乐剧。第一年的舞蹈培训将会包含芭蕾、运动美学、呼吸等舞蹈元素。学校有一个222座的剧院叫做The Pavilion Theatre，并且包括和百老汇剧院同等专业的灯光、音响设备。舞台下方还有一个宽敞的工作室，用于排练和上课。

09 密利克大学

学生在第一学期就会有很多表演机会。所有BFA的表演学生必须要面试学校的大型音乐剧。另外，校内还有一个学生戏剧公司叫做Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre。所有学生每年都会有一个年度汇报评价。第一年是尤其重要的，因为会有一部分学生因为不合格而停止就读。

10 伊隆大学

伊隆大学的音乐剧专业每年只录取16-20名新生。

Catherine McNeela是音乐剧学院的协调员。她本人具有25年的表演和导演经验，并在世界各地表演超过100部话剧、音乐剧和歌剧等。音乐剧项目在学校的艺术中心内部，有一个575座的剧院，125座的独奏厅和100座的黑盒子剧院。

学习音乐剧的学生也可以申请学校的奖学金，每年可供500-6000美金。

11 鲍德温华莱士大学

大师课堂是鲍德温华莱士大学中重要的一部分。每年，学校将会邀请最少10名行业内的大师带给学生讲座。这些大师包括经纪人、选角导演、编舞、音乐指导等。

Ars Nova是一个校内的音乐剧团体，它致力于通过邀请校外大师来做好校内戏剧学生和专业戏剧人士之间的连接。

12 辛辛那提大学音乐学院

这是一个严厉且充满挑战的课程体系，学生们要学习契诃夫、梅式等戏剧表演法，并且也将学习卡巴莱技巧、面试技巧、镜头表演技巧等。

大一和大四的结业展示将会邀请纽约的经纪人和选角导演。学校非常强调发声技巧，每个学生将会有1对1的声乐辅导，学生将学习如何表演音乐剧的歌曲。

学校有一个最大的礼堂叫做Corbett Auditorium，是美国大学校园内视觉和听觉效果最佳的剧院之一。1997年的时候，该剧院曾经获得了最负声望的剧院翻新奖项。这个剧院包含740个座椅、并且有升降舞台和非常专业的音响和灯光设备。

音乐学院包含1200个本科和研究生学生，他们都来自美国饿44个州和其他35个国家。每年学校将会有800个以上的表演，比俄亥俄州的任何一个艺术组织的表演都要多。
